my stay at la quinta was really enjoyable! the king bed room was comfortable and modern. they offered free parking, which is a plus, but the lot is a bit tight. the hotel smelled great, and i loved that the a/c worked perfectly. the staff was quick and friendly during check-in and check-out. plus, we slept really well!

I had a good time at La Quinta in Gainesville. The room felt spacious and clean, perfect for a couple like us. The bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast impressed me with its variety. Hot options, fresh pastries, something for everyone. However, the check-in was slow. The front desk staff seemed uninterested. I stood around for a few minutes before she acknowledged our presence. Not a great start. Directions to the hotel could've been clearer as I missed my turn twice. Could be my exhaustion, but better signs would help. Considering the price, I expected more from breakfast quality. Disposable plates and cutlery felt cheap. The room temperature was uncomfortably cold upon arrival. Had to adjust it before settling in. Despite these hiccups, the location suited us well and offered everything we needed.

This place was a solid match for a short stayover in Gainesville with decent value for money. The staff was friendly enough when I checked in late at night, which was appreciated after a long drive. Try to ask for a room away from the main entrance for a quieter night.
